But when you are shooting pictures for your own use the roles change. Now, for at least part of the shoot, you are \u201cthe client\u201d. You need to ensure that the number and type\u00a0of photographs taken will meet your needs. If what you want is different from the normal style of the photographer, make sure\u00a0you and he agree that he will shoot and deliver what you need.<br \/>\nYou need to ask:<br \/>\n1. Prints? How many and what size?<br \/>\n2. What do they cost?<br \/>\n3. A CD of images, or printed on paper? If a CD, at what\u00a0resolution?<br \/>\n4. All of the pictures shot or a small subset? Who chooses\u00a0them?<br \/>\n5. Will they be retouched?<br \/>\n6. When should you expect them?<br \/>\n7. Will you be expected to sign a release? If so, what type?<br \/>\n8. Will the photographer give you a copyright waiver so you\u00a0can use the pictures? If so, what type? If not, what are\u00a0his policies on your use of the pictures?<br \/>\n9. Will support people like makeup artists and hair stylists be\u00a0at the shoot, and are they are competent?
